Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • Located in Kechnec plant and reports to Kechnec Purchasing Manager
  • Supplier sourcing, contract negotiations and supplier nomination activities
  • Lead of sourcing activities (industrial materials, spare parts, services, building and logistics) based on Vendor Selection Process and support of central purchasing organization by Machine&Equipment sourcing
  • Check incoming purchase information requests regarding financial authorization and/or technical data, proceed with market test/sourcing activities
  • Ensuring timely contracts and orders placement for materials, tools, spare parts and services (all expenses & inventory orders) in line with the buyer level authority
  • Constant tracking of the local and foreign markets in order to observe price fluctuations and to keep informed about available supplier capacities in order to know at any moment the most appropriate and economical sources of goods and services.
  • For the major contracts, drive the implementation of cross functional teams with plant representative and suppliers to improve the plant efficiency and suppliers performance
  • Supports plant performance on daily base to avoid any job stopper
  • Daily supplier communication in English language
  • Administration of supplier invoices and delivery claims, support of departments concerning supply issues
  • Initiation and control of measures as for critical suppliers and supplier insolvencies
  • Maintain SAP master data (supplier, material), price conditions, purchase orders and framework contracts
  • Non-SAP systems and buyer files administration
  • Reporting and KPI´s tracking on regular base
  • Supplier evaluation activities
  • Could act as European strategist for defined commodities representing all TS plants on the synergy meetings and global negotiations with major and/or key European suppliers, or be involved on those global strategy definition meetings/negotiations
  • Representing purchasing in internal meetings/committees

Personality requirements and skills

  • University or technical college studies with economics or technical specialization or equivalent education
  • experience in international purchasing automotive environment: minimum 3 years - Senior position, minimum 1 year - Junior position
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledge of SAP purchasing systems (module MM) is desirable
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written English; German language in addition is an advantage
  • Strong business understanding, good analytical and strategic thinking
  • Professional behavior and strong negotiating skills with internal and external entities
